DJ Envy walks off radio show, upset by Desus and Mero joke about his wife

Power 105.1's DJ Envy walked off his show, "The Breakfast Club," Thursday morning after an argument with two guests. But these weren't just any guests.  

They were Desus Nice (at left in the photo at right above) and The Kid Mero, from the nightly Viceland talk show "Desus & Mero," one of whom had previously made a comment about Envy's wife. 

Specifically: that she was with him for the "DJ Envy check."

Envy, aka Raashaun Casey, who has a mansion in Kinnelon (that he put back on the market in August), was immediately hostile to the pair, saying his wife, Gia Casey (pictured with Envy in the photo at left), was successful before she met him when he was 15. 

Origin of the beef

Envy took issue with comments Desus (Daniel Baker) and Mero (Joel Martinez) made on their show, where Envy has been a regular topic, both for explicit Snapchat messages that were being linked to him (Envy called them fake) and an interview he gave about cheating on his wife.

In February, they responded to Envy's appearance with his wife on the daytime talk show "The Real." The show had gone into detail about Envy cheating on her in the past, the relationship advice he got from Tyrese and Envy's on-air apology to her — points Desus and Mero dissected one by one on "Desus & Mero" (caution: clip contains explicit language).
